Recently, some of our regular customers want to expand their business. They ask me how to produce elastic rope, masks, where can we use them?

Demand for face masks has soared due to the virus outbreak, and stretch cords are in short supply. Let’s talk about the production process from the raw material of the elastic rope, the machine used in the production, and the packing method.

1.Raw Materials

Spandex, Nylon yarn is used in factories to produce elastic cord. For a 3-ply mask, the raw material is usually 140D+140D or 70D+140D. If N95 or cup mask, 70D+70D. Covered yarn 7070 is OK. Manufacturers could choose the right raw materials based on cost and quality requirements.

2.Production Machine

A typical production machine is 1-60 heads. Each regular speed head can produce 1.2-2kgs/day (different rope size different capacity). If it for home use, you could choose a 1/2 head machine to save space and cost. Large output needs 20/40/60 heads machine. Because of the high cost of transportation, 10/20 heads are the most popular to export. Of course, there is the most cost-effective way to frame yourself and source all the other parts from China.

During production, the elastic rope filling into the bag inside a carton. It’s OK. There is a better way. A particular machine – Swing Machine can rearrange the packing neatly, fill the carton more goods, and suitable for mask production.

Finally, we can also use the elastic cord as clothing accessories and girls’ hair bands, and so on.
