A lot of new contact crochet machinery friends inquires me how to change the needle of the head. Follow me and be a needle changer!

First, prepare all the items of below list

1）the head needs to be changed needles
2) some new needles
3) labor gloves
4) adjustable wrench
5) crosshead screwdriver

Step 1: Wear gloves to avoid skin contact with the head of the machine to prevent rust. Remove the bottom screw from the image below by pressing the anticlockwise direction.

Step 2: Pull the rack away from the head, as shown in figure

Step 3: Remove the screws at the bottom of the head with a wrench and the Shim

Step 4: Remove the pulley and Shim

Step 5: Remove the screw from the top cam

Step 6: Draw the broken needle down. If there is some shards , please clean it up.

Step 7: Install the new needle from bottom to top into the slot. The bottom to the top cam.

Step 8: Insert the spindle into the headshell. Align the screw hole of the upper cam to the screw groove, install the screw, adjust the position that the spindle can rotate smoothly.

Step 9: Install the parts in reverse order of the previous disassembly.
